The Art Room Project

Emily J. St.Clair

Emily St.Clair is a painter , creative thinker and educator whose work celebrates the quiet poetry of the natural world. Working primarily in watercolor, acrylic, and oil, she is drawn to landscapes and plant life — the way color, light, and form hold memory and emotion. Her paintings often explore the meeting point between observation and interpretation, inviting viewers to slow down and reconnect with the stillness of nature.

With a deep passion for art education, Emily has dedicated her career to helping others discover their own creative voice. She has owned and operated her own children’s art studio In Clinton NY, taught in both public and private schools, and designed community art programs for organizations including PRATT Community Outreach, the Kirkland Art Center, and Cazenovia’s Carpenter’s Barn. She has also developed art education websites and curriculum for visual arts programs.

Emily currently teaches high school visual arts, where she continues to inspire young artists to experiment, explore, and express themselves with authenticity. Whether in the classroom or her studio, her work reflects a lifelong belief that creativity is both a practice of attention and a path to connection.
